Proverb Illustrations

For this project, I was given a bank of proverbs from various languages. I was asked to create illustrations for three of the proverbes from the bank.

During the sketching process, I decided that translating the proverbs into a type of “tarot” cards would fit best.

Encharches Flores – To Throw Flowers on Yourself (To complement yourself)

Giobe Le Mush – To Swallow Flies (watch from the sidelines)
Muka Muka – To be so angry it causes your to throw up
