In choosing the type of Museum we wanted to brand, we decided that showcasing the most “ugly” aspects of nature could be challenging, but educating as well.

While deciding how to brand something “ugly”, it became clear that to do so we would need to take inspiration from an era that focused on the beauty. In this, we chose to take inspiration from the Renaissance Era. With grotesque typography, a color palette sampled from Renaissance era paintings and the use of a “perfect” grid, we created the style guidelines for the branding of the Museum.
